Answering the goal you have in starting your business is one of your first steps. You need to know what your goal is, or you won't know when you've accomplished it. Put it in writing. I encourage you to write out your goal. Keep it with you. Keep it where you look and remind yourself daily of your goal.
Obviously, you can't make money if you don't know what you have to offer. You need to know what product or service you will offer. Don't overwhelm yourself. Just start with one. Even if you are selling products online, start with a niche or just one or two products.
Determine who your clients are. What is your ideal client? What does he/she look like? Create persona's for the clients.
What is your why? Why are you offering the product or service? Why are you creating a business? Why do you do what you do? Don't forget to post your why everywhere. Put it in writing!
Why do your ideal clients care about what you have to offer? If you are offering coaching...why would they care that you offer coaching? What makes you unique? What makes a client want to work with you?
What connects your why to your ideal client? Let's say your why is that you want to work from home. Maybe you figure out how to do that and your idea client wants to do that too. Figure out how your why, your product and your ideal clients are all connected.

Now, where are you going to do your business? Are you going to reach out to small businesses via the internet? Do you have a size business that you want to work with? Are you going to get a Facebook business page?
Are your ideal clients hanging out in social media? Linked In, Facebook, Instagram, Groups, Networking events, Farmers Markets, Big corporate events; there are so many places that clients can be "hanging out". They are everywhere. To find them, you just have to open your eyes and look. Connect! Make a relationship with someone. Casually let them know what you do.
There are so many ideas in this. What is one thing you can do today to reach toward your goal? You've got this!
Take your goal. Take your step that you created. Now create more steps that reach your goal. Make little goals to reach your big goal.
